More… Members of the Shelby County Mayor’s COVID-19 Community Council will provide recommendations for how to best serve members of the public as local governments and public health professionals respond to COVID-19. Additionally, these individuals will serve as informed COVID-19 ambassadors by providing their network with the most relevant and accurate information about COVID-19, how to stay safe, and how to access available resources. Finally, they will serve as the County’s volunteer recruiters, enabling the Shelby County Health Department to secure non-medical volunteers to support all aspects of the local COVID-19 response. All applications will be reviewed to ensure diverse representation. Applications will close on September 17 and selected members will be notified on or before September 27.
