1. Who qualifies to participate?

All youth in need of services may be able to receive some level of service from the Youth and Family Resource Center. However, the Youth and Family Resource Center's target population is justice-involved youth between the ages of thirteen and eighteen.

2. What are some of the activities the students will participate in?

We provide critical prevention and early intervention assessments to youth and their families who are exhibiting at-risk behaviors at home, at school, and/or in the community. Youth and Family Resource Center works closely with the schools, law enforcement, parents, community members, and partnering agencies to provide services to youth as an alternative to the juvenile justice system. We connect youth and families to a streamlined approach to identify hidden details, problem areas, and needs that hinder their progress within the community.

3. How long is the program?

Youth will voluntarily participate in the Youth and Family Resource Center diversion program for up to 6 months. If necessary, services may be extended longer based on each youth’s individual needs.

4. Is transportation provided?

Transportation to the Youth and Family Resource Center is not provided for youth and their family. In an effort to facilitate accessibility, however, the Youth and Family Resource Center will provide space at its facility for service providers to schedule in-person appointments with youth and their families.
