SHELBY COUNTY MAYOR LEE HARRIS ANNOUNCES TWO KEY APPOINTMENTS
Danielle Inez has been promoted to Chief of Staff and Steven Massie has been appointed Human Resources Administrator.
Memphis, TN - Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris has appointed Danielle Inez as Chief of Staff. For the last year, Ms. Inez has been serving in the role of Special Assistant to the Mayor. Previously, Ms. Inez served as the campaign manager for the Lee Harris for Mayor campaign after a nine year career as a senior marketing manager.

“I am pleased that Ms. Inez has accepted the challenge of this new leadership role,” says Mayor Harris. “She understands the issues in our community and exemplifies the kind of grit and determination that it takes to make reform. Her can-do attitude and work ethic will help put our office in a position to get more things done.”
“It’s been a real joy to work in the Harris Administration and learn from talented public servants and elected leaders we have serving in Shelby County Government,” says Ms. Inez. “I am honored and proud to serve as Mayor Harris’ Chief of Staff and help champion his progressive agenda to reduce poverty and improve the lives of our county’s residents.”

Another key appointment is that of Steven Massie for Human Resources Administrator. Mr. Massie has served in leadership roles at Nike, Southwest Community College, and the tech start-up View, Inc.
“We are pleased to bring Mr. Steven Massie on board as Shelby County Government's new Human Resource Administrator,” says LaSonya Hall, Interim Chief Administrative Officer. “Mr. Massie's HR experience and executive level leadership will be critical to the transformation of Shelby County's Human Resource Department into a more adaptive, customer-centered organization.”
Mr. Massie replaces Mike Lewis, who retired from Shelby Government in May after 13 years of service. His first day is later this month. Ms. Inez assumed her new role on September 3rd.
