MEMPHIS, TN – Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris announces Lauren Lee as Interim Public Information Officer. Lee is now the primary point of contact for the news media.

 “I worked with Lauren Lee when she was a covering local politics while I was on the Memphis City Council and value her expertise with the media,” says Mayor Harris. “It is critical that we successfully broadcast our message to the people of Shelby County.” 

Lee is a veteran reporter of more than ten years, primarily focused on local government and public school issues.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Mayor Harris’ team,” says Lee. “I’m excited to share the Mayor’s vision with the community.”  

The appointment is effective immediately.
