Youth and Family Resource Center
The mission of the Youth and Family Resource Center is to provide a safe place to guide and serve youth, aged 13 to 17 years old. Youth and Family Resource Center will strive to prevent and divert youth from entering or progressing further into the juvenile justice system by helping them to overcome trauma and build resilience. Therefore, the Youth and Family Resource Center will serve as a central point of contact to connect our youth clients to tailored supportive resources in the home, school, and community.
Who can refer youth to the center
- Youth (self-referral)
- Community Members
- Law Enforcement
Why or when should you refer a youth?
Youth should be referred when he/she is having a difficult time coping with everyday life. The youth may be displaying negative behavior in the home, school, or the community. They may also need extra support in their day-to-day activities and gain multiple coping skills to deal with past traumas.
