AFLAC provides cancer and intensive care insurance. Your department Human Resource representative will coordinate with AFLAC to come on-site for employees who wish to enroll or make changes to their coverage. Shelby County's Flexible Benefit Plan allows employee's contribution to be paid with pre-tax earnings/dollars. Therefore, an employee must remain in the ALFLAC program from January 1st through December 31st annually, unless there is a qualifying event/life style change in accordance with IRS guidelines.
