REMINDERS:
- Preventive Care: Preventive care, under the Affordable Care Act, is covered 100%. Remember, preventive services are not subject to deductible or copays. Please check with your physician to determine which services are considered preventive. This provision is applicable to all family members.
- Age 26 Adult Dependents: Dependent coverage is offered to enrollees’ adult children until age 26, even if the young adult no longer lives with his/her parents, is not a dependent on a parents’ tax return, or is no longer a student. The Affordable Care Act applies to both married and unmarried young adult children, although their own spouses and children are not eligible for coverage.
- NOTE: If you currently have an eligible age 19 to 26 adult dependent enrolled on your plan, you MUST re-enroll that dependent during open enrollment.
- Ineligible Dependents: It is the employee’s responsibility to remove ineligible dependents from their plan. Failure to remove any ineligible dependent will result in you being responsible for any claims paid on any ineligible dependent.
Important Medical Information
