Conservation Board

Functions & Authority

The Conservation Board is responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining all county-owned parkways, playgrounds, public park services, and recreational conservation areas.

•             Conservation Board meetings are held on even-numbered months, at either 8:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m.

•             Meeting are held at 1075 Mullins Station Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38134

•             Meetings will be conducted allowing participation by electronic or other means of communication

Members of Shelby County's nine-person Conservation Board serve five-year terms and are confirmed by the Shelby County Commission following appointment by the county mayor.

To be placed on the Conservation Board Agenda, a Request for Action Coversheet along with all other documentation must be submitted to Angela Hill (add a link to conservation.board@shelbycountytn.gov), Executive Director of the Board, at least ten (10) business days before scheduled meetings.
