Members

Members of the Memphis and Shelby County Center City Commission serve three-year terms. They consist of two non-voting members and 16 voting members:


  • One member of the Memphis City Council (appointed by the chairman)
  • One member of the Shelby County Commission (appointed by the chairman)
  • One member of the Senate General Assemble (appointed by the speaker of the Senate)
  • One member of the House of Representatives (appointed by the speaker of the House)
  • The Memphis city mayor or a designee
  • The Shelby County mayor or a designee
