"The nine-week course is held on Tuesday evenings. We're hoping to give everyday citizens the opportunity to have a behind the scenes look at how county government works and how their tax dollars are spent", says Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.

Presentations Include: Chief Administrative Officer Administration and Finance Community Services Corrections Health Department Planning and Development Public Works County Attorney Public Defender Office of Preparedness Constitutional Officers (Trustee, County Clerk, Assessor) County Commission

Class Information:

The evening classes begin at 6:00 and end at 8:00. Students must be 18 years-old and live or work in Shelby County. There is no charge to attend the classes.
