About the Clerk
Paul Boyd was elected as Clerk of the Shelby County Probate Court in August 2010. The Probate Court clerk is responsible for the administration of the court's two divisions. While this was Mr. Boyd’s first run for political office, he has been involved in public service and community enrichment for many years. He has held leadership positions of several conservative and Republican organizations, served on the board of directors of The Memphis Gridiron Show, and is a proud and active member of MPACT Memphis.

About the Judges
Shelby County Probate Court has two judges: |

- Division I Judge Robert Benham: Judge Robert Benham has served on the bench of Probate Court since 1997, following a 34-year career as an attorney. He serves as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and, among his other accomplishments, is a member of the following boards, commissions, and associations:
- American, Tennessee, Memphis, and Shelby County Bar associations
- The Estate Planning Council of Memphis
- The Leo Bearman Sr. Chapter of the American Inn of Court

Robert Benham |
- Division II Judge Karen D. Webster: Judge Karen D. Webster was elected to the Shelby County Probate Bench in August 2006. Although new to the bench, she has more than 15 years litigation experience that began in 1985, where she served as an assistant city attorney / city prosecutor for seven years. After being promoted to chief prosecutor, Judge Webster served another seven years as a litigator, handling dockets of approximately 400 cases daily. During these periods, Judge Webster was also employed part-time as an academic support instructor at the University of Memphis (Memphis State University), as a business tax auditor at the IRS, and as an affiliate broker at a local realty agency.
