Juvenile justice initiatives overseen by Shelby County Juvenile Court include:
  • Assessment screening for juveniles detained for serious offenses
  • Evaluation referrals for youth affected by mental health issues and substance abuse
 
Juvenile Court has eight courtrooms where juvenile and child support cases are heard.

Updated 5/31/13 - The Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County will hold an open meeting to discuss the Court’s current compliance with the requirements of the Memorandum of Agreement entered into with the Department of Justice. The Court will also introduce members of the Countywide Juvenile Justice Consortium as well as discuss plans to hold more localized community meetings in the coming months. All are encouraged to attend and participate and questions and comments will be welcomed.

The meeting will take place on June 8th, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Benjamin Hooks Library, 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. If you have any questions, please email the court at or call 901-405-8447.
