AFLAC (Cancer & Intensive Care Insurance)
AFLAC provides cancer and intensive care insurance. Your department Human Resource representative will coordinate with AFLAC to come onsite for employees who wish to enroll or make changes to their coverage. Please contact your Human Resource representative for assistance or local AFLAC representative.
ALL DEPARTMENTS (EXCEPT HEAD START): HR Representatives and/or employees should contact Bud Webb at 901-866-2190.
HEAD START (ONLY): Head Start Representatives and/or employees should contact Bryon Ragland at 901-233-6514. If you cannot reach Mr. Ragland, then contact Bud Webb.
Shelby County's Flexible Benefit Plan allows employee's contribution to be paid with pre-tax earnings/dollars. Therefore, an employee must remain in the ALFLAC program from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013, unless there is a qualifying event/life style change in accordance with IRS guidelines.
