NDRC Phase 2 Application Draft for Public Comment

A series of three storm systems in April 2011 caused significant damage in Shelby County. Due to the severity of the damages, Shelby County was identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as eligible to participate in the National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC), a national competition for $1 billion for activities that advance resilience efforts. The draft Phase II application for Shelby County’s proposal to the NDRC is available for public comment Thursday, October 1 through Friday, October 16. Click here for more information about the NDRC and to download the draft application. For more resources about disaster recovery and resilience efforts in Shelby County, please visit the Office of Preparedness and Ready Shelby.
