 Shelby County Trustee

Regina Morrison Newman, Trustee
160 N. Main St., 2nd Floor, Suite 300
Memphis, TN 38103

(901)521-1829

Web Site: http://www.shelbycountytrustee.com

The Trustee is the county's banker and tax collector. This officer also maintains control of county funds until they are distributed on a monthly basis to government agencies. The Trustee oversees a total annual cash flow of $6 billion.

Based on property tax assessments provided by the Assessor's Office and the property tax rate as set by the County Commission, the Trustee determines the amount of your property tax bill. Tax bills are mailed in September and become delinquent if not paid by the last day in February of the following year. As tax collector, the Trustee processes more than 350,000 tax bills and collects 97 percent of all money owed. Shelby County has the only Trustee's office in the state with a delinquent tax office, collecting more than $34 million annually.

You can pay your taxes by mail, at any one of the offices listed below, or via the Internet at http://www.shelbycountytrustee.com
