SELECTION PROCESS: 4 members appointed by the City Mayor. Confirmed by the City Council.

4 member appointed by the County Mayor. Confirmed by the County Commission.

In even years, the City Mayor appoints the Chairman with the County Mayor appointing the Vice Chairman. In odd years, the County Mayor appoints the Chairman and the City Mayor appoints the Vice Chairman.

The City Mayor and the County Mayor shall appoint 8 members each to act as alternates.

FUNCTION &
AUTHORITY:
Hears appeals from the administration of zoning laws adopted pursuant to the enabling legislation allowing the control of land uses.
TERMS OF MEMBERS: 3 years.
