otherwise assign the duties and functions, of the Sheriff, Trustee, Register, County Clerk and Assessor.  As the Shelby County Charter contains potential deficiencies similar to those found in the Knox County Charter, the 2007 Ad Hoc Committee on Shelby County Charter Amendments has begun the process of reviewing these five offices in order to make recommendations for amendment(s) to the Charter.
