Reinvent Government Listening Tour Travels to Collierville

Community Forum to be Held June 10th at Collierville High School

Memphis, TN. -  On June 10th, the Reinvent Government Listening Tour will make a stop in Collierville granting Shelby County area residents another opportunity to join in the public discussion about a unified form of government.  Shelby County Mayor A C Wharton, Shelby County Commission Chair Deidre Malone and Memphis City Council Chairman Myron Lowery will continue to dialogue with citizens and answer questions at Collierville High School located at 1101 Byhalia Road.  Hosted by the League of Women Voters of Memphis and Shelby County, the community forum will begin at 6 p.m.

The Reinvent Government Listening Tour is specifically designed to facilitate county-wide conversation about how a unified, metro government could be more streamlined, spend tax money more effectively, bring people together and spark new economic growth. In conjunction with the tour, the reinventgovernment.org website has been launched to serve as a nucleus for information gathering and sharing. Citizens are encouraged to visit this website to share their comments or thoughts about a government merger.
