The Bailiff's Department provides various services for Juvenile Court.  As the Law Enforcement Command Center, bailiffs monitor the security of the entire Court
24-hours a day, 7-days a week to provide employees, visitors and court associates with a secure environment.  

Bailiffs respond to all emergencies that arise in the vicinity of Juvenile Court.  Other services rendered by the Bailiff's Department would be, maintaining courtroom decorum, and safe transporting of juveniles and adults to other correctional and detention facilities. Bailiffs work with a certification of Special Deputy status issued by the Shelby County Sheriff.
