Jimmy Moore was re-elected to his third term as Circuit Court Clerk for Shelby County in August 2002.  The Clerk's office is responsible for the administration of the nine (9) Circuit Court divisions. As directed by the Tennessee Code Annotated,  revenue is generated by fees for service.

Mr. Moore was awarded his Certified Public Administrator recognition from the Univeristy of Tennessee.  He graduated from Tech High School and attended Memphis State University.  He is a member of the "International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials, and Treasurers" (IACREOT), and the "County Officials Association of Tennessee" (COATS).

Prior to serving as Circuit Court Clerk, Mr. Moore was on the Memphis City Council from 1986 until 1991. Winning two re-elections, he was appointed Chairman by his colleagues in 1990.

Mr. Moore and his wife Barbara have four children.  He is an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he serves as usher and enjoys being involved with local charities.
