 Shelby Farms Pavilions, Shelters and Picnic Areas

 

Pine Lake Shelter
Shelby Farms Park has pavilions, shelters and picnic areas that families, companies or other groups may reserve for special occasions.  A brief descripiton of each area is provided below.  Reservations must be made for use of these facilities.  Call (901) 382-0235 for availability information.  Click here to view rental rates.

Two large pavilions available with an estimated capacity of 80 people each.  Both pavilions have electricity available, ten picnic tables and one grill.  The East Pine Lake Drive pavilion is adjacent to a parking area and a small playground with sliding board and swings. 

The Beaver Lake Drive pavilion is a short walk to the public horseback riding stables and Beaver Lake.  It also has nearby volleyball posts.

Shelby Farms Park also has three smaller shelters available with an estimated capacity of 32-48 people each.  None of these smaller shelters have electricity. 

The Pine Lake Drive shelter located east of Pine Lake has four picnic tables, two swings and one grill.  It is the closest shelter to the main playground and has ample parking.  Hiking trails and a fishing lake are nearby. 

The *Beaver Lake Drive shelter also has four picnic tables and a grill.  This shelter has a spectacular view of Beaver Lake.  The horseback riding stables are nearby.

The South Orchard Loop shelter has six picnic tables and two grills.  The amphitheater is located directly below this shelter and is available for use by parties renting this shelter.  Hiking trails are nearby and Chickasaw Lake is a short walk through the woods.

There are also two picnic areas available for rental.

The first is located on Beaver Lake Drive in a tree-lined spot with nine picnic tables.  It is large enough to accommodate 70 people.  Beaver Lake and the horseback riding stables are nearby.  This picnic area may be reserved together with the *Beaver Lake Drive shelter for large groups of over 100 people.

The second picnic area is located on Pine Lake Drive.  It sports a jungle gym, nine picnic tables and two grills.  Up to 70 people can be accommodated at this picnic area.  Walking/biking trails along with the orchard are nearby.
