The Immunization Program provides continuously updated information regarding recommended and/or required immunizations for children and adults including vaccines needed for international travel. Education regarding immunizations for vaccine preventable infectious diseases is the number one factor of this office.

Immunizations provided for children: |
- Polio

Recommendations for adult immunizations include: |
- Influenza (Flu) and pneumonia immunizations given annually - especially for age 65 and older individuals,
- Tetanus-Diphtheria boosters every 10 years,
- Hepatitis A recommended especially for food handlers, child-care providers and international travelers,
- Hepatitis B vaccine,
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella is recommended for anyone born after 1956 and not previously immunized - especially if child bearing age,
- Varicella (chickenpox) for any adult who has not had chickenpox

Immunizations are also available to adults for lasting protection against these diseases.
- As many as 20,000 Americans die annually from flu-related illnesses.
- Pneumococcal disease leading to pneumonia is to blame for up to 40,000 deaths each year.
- Nearly one-third of adults with hepatitis B don't know how they got infected.
- Adults are 25 times more likely than children to die from chickenpox.
