Community Partnership Meeting
- The Department of Justice (DOJ) released letter of findings on April 26, 2012.
- Juvenile Court began working to address findings immediately.
- Agreement with DOJ finalized on December 17, 2012.
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) States:
“Within nine months of the Effective Date, JCMSC shall … partner with other County departments and agencies as necessary to increase access to direct services within the community (including the implementation of a pilot diversion program). JCMSC shall use the inventory of the available services and diversion options by race, ethnicity, and geographic region to inform its decision to provide or expand the required services. In particular, JCMSC shall assess the availability of house arrest, day/evening treatment centers, intensive probation, shelter care, specialized foster care, and attendant or holdover care.”

- Diversion programs
- Community Service
- Disposition alternatives
- Evening Reporting Centers
- Mentoring Programs
