Shelby Farms Greenline

The Shelby Farms Greenline rails-to-trail users will activate a two phase traffic signal system to cross Germantown Parkway.  The first phase of the traffic signal system will allow a pedestrian to cross half of the Parkway into a median area protected by concrete barriers.  A second push button will be activated by the trail user to complete the crossing.

NDRC Phase 2 Application Draft for Public Comment

A series of three storm systems in April 2011 caused significant damage in Shelby County. Due to the severity of the damages, Shelby County was identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as eligible to participate in the National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC), a national competition for $1 billion for activities that advance resilience efforts. The draft Phase II application for Shelby County’s proposal to the NDRC is available for public comment Thursday, October 1 through Friday, October 16.
